Travel Plans has screened at multiple festivals across the country, including the Academy Award- and BAFTA-qualifying LA Shots. It won an Indie Spirit Award at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema, at which it was also nominated for Best Short, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay, and Best Cinematography.
Director's Statement
As a storyteller, I'm often drawn to material people avoid thinking about – and enjoy the challenge of making these topics compelling and engaging. I also love a good twist. For my first foray into directing, I chose a project that suited these sensibilities. A lot happens in the script’s three pages, and I was honored that the writer trusted me to bring this little gem to life. I hope the audience will be surprised, not just by how the story unfolds, but by their reaction to the characters and the situation they find themselves in.
