The recognition comes as the film continues its run on the festival circuit, following screenings across multiple U.S. festivals. Alongside the win, Travel Plans was also nominated for several awards at Idyllwild, including Best Short, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay, and Best Cinematography.
